JL joined the act in 2011, performing for the first time on Wayne's Triple Wheel of Death at Welland Steam Rally. After a year on the road training and improving his skills he took over as Wayne's double wheel performer in 2012
JL likes the adrenalin rush that performing the Wheel of Death gives him. He particularly enjoys the thrill of walking the outside juggling 3 clubs. JL has always wanted to perform the Wheel of Death, ever since seeing it in the world famous Blackpool Tower Circus as a young child.
JL first started practising circus skills in 2004, shortly after moving to Blackpool with his family. His natural talent for circus skills was soon apparent. JL continued to refine and improve his skills whilst qualifying from Blackpool & Fylde College with a Diploma in Child Care & Education. JL lives and works in Manchester for C2O which produces & sells personalised clothing.
JL spent the summer of 2010 in America teaching aerial acts like flying trapeze, unicycling, gymnastics, and other circus skills. Returning to the UK he set up a business with a friend (The J Team), they provided children's entertainment, discos, and other walkabout work.
JL is a Director and teacher at Blackpool Circus School and regularly attends national juggling and unicycling events around the country.
JL spends a lot of his time dedicated to Vander Wheel of Death, working behind the scenes.
